#4 Ana Stefan/Eb and vloed/ Antek
Cholewinksi

Ana Stefan
It's very interesting how an artist can play with language and melodies in a way that transports the listener to an unknown story. Yet, the story still somehow resonates with them.
Ana is trying to explore the complexity of human emotion to create the space of understanding ourselves and others through sincere storytelling and heartfelt melodies. The lyrics conveys an emotional depth that enables fostering empathy among the audience. Afterall, a stranger's story is another stranger's story." "

EB EN VLOED
"EB & VLOED plays Dutch folk, building bridges between poetry and music. An intimate world of sound where you can drift away in their delicate lyrics and waves. "

ANTEK
Antek Cholewiński (who is an academically educated composer and cellist) on the new Pawlacz Perski release under the clickbait and post-humanist title „Kotek" (polish for Kitten), expresses his fascination with speech synthesizers. The author gives them poetry to recite, and with the help of music he builds invisible scenery. Melancholy, restlessness, decadence. Lonely voices in an empty room filled with futuristic furniture on the 30th floor of a skyscraper. Electronic actors seem to be soaked up with the atmosphere of Antek's artistic vision, as in some synthetic Stanisławski system.

Flatland Prayer
"Flatland Prayer is two-part: the first refers to the landscape in which bassist and bandleader River Adomeit grew up, first the midwests in the United States and then the flat landscape in Amsterdam. Prayer refers to to the yearning quality of the trio’s music, which is both homey and disquieting at times and dark yet optimistic."

Escarteen Sisters
"They are 2 sisters, two female voices that are accompanied by violin and cello. The result, a string quartet because they play and sing at the same time. This is the main game. The Sisters grew up in the countryside of Spain in a farmhouse between vineyards. From that silence, their songs are born. Their music has the influence of nature that has surrounded them from when they were small, that is why it is neither of one colour nor of another , nor of one temperature or another, it is organic and ineffable. With touches of folk and jazz, the duo was born composing songs only in order to communicate with their grandfather, who lived in Belgium.Their music is about intimacy and the abyss of approaching the unknown. The circle of this imaginary world closes with two other concepts: the number 4 (4 strings, 4 members, 4 languages, 4 symbols) and the voyage, influences of music from different places on this earth."

"Under the moniker SirFrances, Sara covers sensitive subjects like class issues, divorce, abuse, self-harm, and suicidal ideation. Sara’s music, both wild and exposed, celebrates life's fluctuations by crafting chaotic landscapes of sound and color. Rooted in rock and enriched by her exposure to jazz and improvisation, her compositions captivate with a fusion of styles. Moreover, it's the infusion of American storytelling's dramatic essence that truly captivates her audience during her performances. Sara's musical resonance echoes PJ Harvey, Fiona Apple, and Portishead."
